Wüsthof -- Defining the Edgë -- Chef Richie Nakano Tube. Duration : 4.70 Mins.
Follow Chef Nakano and other leaders of the culinary new wave at www.wusthofedge.com. For some, crafting the perfect bowl of ramen is much more than an art, it's an obsession. Meet Richie Nakano. Accomplished chef, business owner and someone who's defining the Edgë, in part because he's living on it. With a wife and new baby on the way, Richie left behind a steady job at the heart of the recession in pursuit of an idea. You could argue this might be foolish, we say it's anything but. The desire to control one's own destiny, to carve one's own path and defy expectations is a road few of us ever dare to travel. "To me defining the Edgë means staying on point, never settling, never resting. Trying to do better all the time." —Richie Please Like us on Facebook www.facebook.com Follow us on Twitter: twitter.com For more information about Wusthof Knives and Cutlery visit: wusthof.com

Ingredients and Equipment --------------------------------------------------------------------- * Potato, peeled * Sharp knife c Step 1: Cut the Rounded Sides --------------------------------------------------------------------- Cut off the rounded sides on each end to form a rectangular block. You may prefer to leave one side uncut to use as a handle or grip as you dice. Take your knife with your middle, ring and pinky fingers around the handle and your forefinger and thumb around the blade. Curl the fingers of your other hand so your fingertips are holding the potato in place. Try keeping the knuckle of your middle finger against the blade for better control. Step 2: Cut into Slices and Juliennes --------------------------------------------------------------------- Make a quarter-inch wide slice for small dices, a half-inch wide slice for medium dices or a three-quarters-inch wide slice for large dices. Place the slices on their sides and make juliennes of equal size from those slices. Step 3: Dice That Potato --------------------------------------------------------------------- Put your thumb at the back of the julienne with your fingers curled to control the body of the julienne. Use your thumb to push the julienne forward and under the knife. Keep the front of your knife blade in contact with the cutting board and use the back end to cut ...

(We are using a food processor to limit the amount of water we will need to blend the mix.) Step 2 Over medium heat, place a sauce pot and pour mix into pot. Stir to level the mix. Cover and cook for 45 minutes. Step 3 In a larger pot over medium fire, heat up the palm oil....(Now this is probably one of the most important steps. The oil must be heated up until it changes color completely from red to white. This process can take, depending on how much oil you are using up to 15 minutes. Make sure you do this in a well ventilated area and be sure to do this carefully so as not to have any fire accidents!) Step 4 Add the locust beans into pepper mix and cook for additional 15 minutes. It originated from the Jin Dynasty during the early 12th century. Due to the cold weather in the region, people are accustomed to eating very hot food, and so cooking techniques such as casserole, hot-pot, and roasting were developed. In the 1930's, the last emperor Fuyi established his Manchurian Imperial court in Changchun and Changchun became a political center of the time. Other than the Imperial chefs from the Forbidden City in Peking, many famous chefs from Shandong went to work in the imperial kitchen. They combined the Shandong and imperial cuisines with the local Jilin folk cuisine and developed today's Northeastern Chinese cuisine. The main body of Northeastern cuisine is the local folk cuisine using casserole, stir-fry, qiang, and marinating techniques. It also includes traditional techniques used in the imperial court. How to Sharpen Your Scissors (works on fabric) Video Clips. Duration : 1.17 Mins.
Most of the instructions I found for sharpening scissors say that cutting aluminium foil would work. Other say you should "cut" smooth cylinders such as glass bottles. And yet others tell you to use sandpaper. Almost all of the instructions I found were for paper scissors. I need my scissors to cut fabric. I found a really good method to sharpen scissors. I tried two methods, the aluminium foil one and I also tried using that knife sharpening stick that comes in kitchen knife sets. Just watch this lil video I made! My brother helped me edit :3

Shun Classic is a stunningly beautiful line of cutlery featuring the look and benefits of Damascus steel, yet without its rusting problems. The Damascus-look blade profile reduces sticking and results in less damage to the food being cut and faster prep times. The Shun Pro line features the design preferred by professional Japanese Chefs - a one-sided, beveled edge with a hollow-ground back. This range was designed by Suisin and is exclusive to Suisin, Sakai City, Japan. Iron Chef Knives are the authorized distributors/agents for Suisin in Australia. Video Edited: www.rayayos.com

Knife Skills - How to Sharpen a Knife With a Combination Stone
Knife Skills - How to Sharpen a Knife With a Combination Stone Tube. Duration : 6.22 Mins.
Check out Bas Rutten's Liver Shot on MMA Surge: bit.ly In this video, Chef Eric Crowley, owner of the Culinary Classroom in Los Angeles, shows us how to sharpen a knife with a combination stone. Step 1: Identify Your Sharpening Needs --------------------------------------------------------------------- A combination stone typically has two sides. One side is a dark grey, which is like a coarse grit sandpaper. The other side is a light grey, which is like a fine grit sandpaper. * If your knife is very dull, then you'll want to use the dark, coarse side first. Then, you'll flip the stone over and use the light, fine side. * If your knife is only somewhat dull, you'll only use the light, fine side. Step 2: Lubricate the Stone --------------------------------------------------------------------- You'll first want to lay a wet paper towel down on your surface. Then, place the stone on the wet towel. This will help keep it sturdy. Also, pour some water on the stone itself to lubricate the surface and to keep the knife blade from getting too hot. * Some chefs like to use oil for lubrication. This is fine; just don't use a food grade mineral oil [such as canola or olive oil] because these will cause the stone to get really sticky and become rancid over time. * Another note: if you decide to use water for lubrication, then always use water. If you decide to use oil, then always use oil. Don't switch back and forth between the two. Step 3: Determine Your Angle of Attack ...

Free Hand Sharpening by Nutnfancy
Free Hand Sharpening by Nutnfancy Tube. Duration : 11.60 Mins.
After like a hundred requests I'm compelled to do a sharpening video...maybe more to follow. Using an EZE-LAP Fine Diamond oval shaped diamond sharpener (Knivesplus.com, EZ-D10F, ) and a 13" Lansky sharpening steel, I show how I re-sharpen an AG Russell kitchen knife. Keep your edge angle very consistent on both rods, using enough passes to bring out the edge you desire. The diamond stone actually produces micro serrations in the steel which will cut very effectively. I find the edge is more durable and even sharper however if honed a bit on the steel, using care not to roll the tip (in video). I do use other systems occasionally but this is my current favorite. That's because this is the fastest way I'm able to bring out an edge again in a knife. Note: Suppliers and models of the referenced sharpeners will change. I note my original sources for reference and to maybe help save you time.

[Dead Rising 2] Chef Antoine made Stupidly Easy Video Clips. Duration : 0.60 Mins.
Upon request, how to defeat Chef Antoine without a Survivor Firing Squad. When he hits you with the pan he will immediately run for food. Exploit that. (I didn't know he could THROW the pan so -1 point on my part for not seeing that coming.) At L50 I hit a LOT harder than normal, but the same idea applies. Follow him to food, then combo the hell out of him once he starts the eating animation. NOT BEFORE. Welcome to a world where the air I breathe is mine There's nothing to overwhelm me and nothing to cloud my mind Be anyone, do anything I'd ever want to try Time doesn't exist here, I will never die (usually the song's lyrics refer to the Boss, but not this time...)
